Who is MentalCareDirect™ for?

MentalCareDirect™ is a subscription that SME employers take out for their employees. There are two plans: Core (for the employee) and Family (extends Core with rapid psychological help for the employee's household).

What is the difference between Core and Family?

Core (€ 57,85 per employee per month) covers prevention, coaching and primary mental healthcare for the employee. Family (+ € 41,75 per employee per month on top of Core) extends this with rapid psychological help for the partner and minor children.

Question 3

Who can Family be taken out for?

Accepted Answer

For the whole organisation, a specific team or part of your team. You decide the group; Family is an add-on on top of Core.

Question 4

What do you mean by 'household' in Family?

By household we mean at most: the employee, the employee's current partner, and the minor children of the employee and/or their partner — including adopted children.

What does MentalCareDirect™ cost?

Core: € 57,85 per employee per month. Family: + € 41,75 per employee per month on top of Core (total € 99,60). No individual sessions, no additional cost for treatment or family help within the chosen plan.

Can an employer include just part of the team?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Core can be taken out individually or selectively, for example for part of your team or a specific team. Family can be added on top as an add-on.

Why is there no waiting list?

Accepted Answer

Because we deliberately dimensioned our capacity around the subscription model rather than around insured contracts. Intakes for employees and family members are usually scheduled within a few working days.

Question 8

Which mental health complaints do you treat?

Accepted Answer

All complaints that fall within primary mental healthcare: depression, anxiety disorders, panic, grief, trauma/PTSD, burnout and adjustment disorders, sleep problems, work-related stress and relationship or family issues. Treatment is provided until regular care takes over; we bridge the waiting-list gap. For heavier specialist care, we refer on in consultation.

Which complaints do you treat and not treat?

We treat clients with the following primary diagnoses: anxiety disorders, depressive mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, personality disorders, somatic symptom and related disorders, and trauma- and stress-related disorders. We explicitly do not treat alcohol or drug dependence, psychotic disorders, or severe suicidality and crisis-prone conditions. In those cases we refer on to specialist care.

How does treatment of children under 18 within Family work?

Minor children of participating employees get a rapid intake within Family with a child and youth psychologist from our network. The goal is waiting-list bridging for youth care — catching symptoms before they escalate, stabilising families, and where possible avoiding further treatment.

Question 11

Does the employer receive personal information about employees or family members?

Accepted Answer

No. Never. Reporting to the employer is always anonymised. Employers get insight into patterns and risks at team level, but no personal medical, psychological or treatment-related information about individuals or families.

Is guidance online or in person?

Accepted Answer

As much as possible online. That makes MentalCareDirect™ accessible, quick to deploy and practical for smaller teams. Where in-person adds value, we can arrange that in consultation.

Question 13

Do the continuous ECG measurements interfere with my daily life?

Accepted Answer

No. The measurement runs for 3 to 5 days with a small medical-grade ECG device that you simply wear during work, exercise, relaxation and sleep. You don't have to adjust your life for it — quite the opposite: we want to see how your body responds to your normal days. Through the app you get direct feedback on your phone for everything you do, so you can already see during the measurement what costs energy and what brings recovery.

What does 'generous use' mean?

Measurements, coaching and treatment sessions are amply included for normal and appropriate use within the purpose of MentalCareDirect™. At elevated risk we scale up at no cost — the more effective we are preventively, the less curative care turns out to be needed.

Question 15

Is a GP referral required?

Accepted Answer

No, not by default. For primary mental healthcare within our subscription no GP referral is required. For heavier care we are of course happy to collaborate with the GP and specialist mental healthcare.

Who is behind MentalCareDirect™?

MentalCareDirect™ was founded by Nicki Mano (licensed psychologist and Lead Clinician), Amorena Labad (facilitator and coach) and Alex Ermers (entrepreneur and Biofeedback Practitioner).

How quickly can we start?

Accepted Answer

Usually within two weeks after agreement. We inform participating employees, set up access and start the intakes. Fully online, no months-long implementation.
