For employers
Company psychologist online, no waiting list
Prevention that stops people from dropping out, and immediate help when it is needed. For the employee and, if you wish, for the family too.
Quick answer
What does a company psychologist do?
A company psychologist supports employees and organisations with stress, absenteeism, workload and the risk of dropping out. At MentalCareDirect™ coaches work proactively: every quarter they contact the participating employee themselves for a careful measurement and targeted coaching. If there are complaints, our psychologists step in within a few working days for treatment, with no waiting list.
- Coaches take the initiative every quarter for measurement and coaching
- Psychologists step in as soon as treatment is needed
- Nationwide network, online or on site
- Fixed monthly amount, only for participating employees
Why employers bring in a company psychologist
One in five employees reports burnout complaints. Absence caused by mental health complaints lasts the longest on average and quickly costs employers tens of thousands of euros per employee in continued pay, replacement and lost productivity.
Waiting for someone to call in sick is the most expensive route.
A company psychologist works earlier in that process. Not after a sick note, but at the moment recovery and load fall out of balance.
To see that, we use a medical-grade ECG measurement of three to five days, which shows objectively what someone does not yet feel.
No waiting list, across the Netherlands
Waiting times in regular mental health care run into months.
Because we work with a nationwide network of specialists and our own lead practitioner, we have no waiting list. An employee can start within a few working days, online or on site.
Company psychologist, occupational psychologist or company doctor?
The company doctor assesses fitness for work. The occupational psychologist focuses on work capacity and return to work. The company psychologist looks more broadly at the person, behaviour and organisation. We combine those angles in one subscription. Read the full comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Individual sessions with a company psychologist typically cost 120 to 180 euro per hour. MentalCareDirect™ works with a fixed monthly amount per participating employee, including the quarterly measurement, coaching and treatment. See the rate indication for current figures.
How quickly can an employee be seen?
Within a few working days. We work with a nationwide network of psychologists and a lead practitioner, so there is no waiting list.
Is a company psychologist the same as an occupational psychologist?
No. A company psychologist looks at both the person and the organisation, while an occupational psychologist focuses on workload, work capacity and return to work. MentalCareDirect™ combines both.
Does it work online?
Yes. Sessions take place online or on site, across the Netherlands. Measurements and coaching are done remotely, so employees lose no travel time.
